 According to the news agency, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has said in a statement that the UN Security Council has rejected the US resolution regarding the expansion of Iran's arms embargo. Only two of the 15 members of the UN Security Council voted in favour of the resolution. According to further details, the Security Council voted on the draft resolution on arms embargo on Iran. The referendum comes as Russia and China oppose a resolution banning arms to Iran.


According to foreign media reports, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo explained the message of the Gulf Cooperation Council, which called on the UN Security Council to extend the arms embargo on Iran.
